Streaming list of songs help

This is the help and info page for the streaming list of songs on the left hand side. If you have any questions not answered here, post them below to be answered.

Pausing
You can pause the listing of the song stream by placing (or hovering) your cursor over the songs.

Settings (Preferences)
Many preferences are available to registered users. You can filter out Sirius, XM, FM and more. This eliminates clicking on a song you want to hear but don't have access to the station. To change your preferences click on the settings link on the left.

The "Yellow Line"
The yellow line indicates where new songs are.  Any songs above the "yellow line" are new.  This feature is only available in modern browsers.

How does rating work
When you rate a Song or Artist they become highlighted on the list of Songs on the left.  If you rate a Song different than the Artist who performs the Song, however you rate the Song is what is displayed.  In other words, the Song rating has a higher priority than the Artist rating.

The song isn't playing
There are a lot of reasons the song listed isn't actually what you are listening to.  Most often it is related to listening to songs online.  The song is streamed to your computer and is often delayed - even up to 15 seconds.

XM isn't working
XM can be a little tricky to get working sometimes.  When you click on a XM song for the first time, two popups will appear.  The one on the left is xmradio.com.  You will need to login on that one and then close it.  Once it is closed, click on the 'listen now' link in the other popup.  Here are some solutions to common problems

• I hear a message saying the song isn't available.
  • In this case, hit the refresh button [F5] and it should work.  If it continues, close your browser and try again.
• I see a black window with white text saying I am not logged in
  • Close the window and click on the 'login to XM' link
